Use an aerial splitter at a convenient point for the two aerial feeds. 1 coax in and 2 coax out. Available at DIY shops etc.

if you have a weak signal the splitter will halve the strength of the signal, you would them need a booster amp (most come with two outputs)

And if half the signal is adequate you can just connect both leads into the aerial if that suits.

  • Browntoas suggestion is the best but ideally you need a 13A socket in the loft to run it from. Also there are cheaper 2way amps on the market, £9.95 at Screwfix.

A few times in the past, I've bought aerial kits and wired everything up neatly and properly by putting in connectors and splitters - I always get a really crappy picture.

so I usually end up cutting off all the connectors and splitters and then connecting the wires directly to each other with insulating tape - and getting a fantastic picture :)

I think you get a much better picture by connecting things as directly as possible - even if it doesn't look as nice :D

SRA - Can you let me know how to wire directly? How is it best to get core copper wire and surrounding copper froma ll three cables to connect directly?

sra means to connect the two ends together with no "connectors" so bare wire
to bare wire then insulate, its copper core to copper core, outer brade to outer brade.
