Are drill battries interchangable?

DH dropped the drill battery last night & the charge died instantly & won't recharge.

I've put the number on the drill into google & it brings up nothing.

Its 30v.

There is a 30v set on ebay, 2 battries & a charger, no drill, but its a different make. But the battries look the same from the picture (but its not a great picture).

So can we buy a spare battery (it all come as a set)?

very rarely do drill batteries interchange. even the same makers change the battery styles often. another scam/con game.
i once bought two different drills from wickes (own brand) at the same time. the batteries are different!

It could simply be a case of one of the joints between the cells has come adrift, open the casing and jave a look....

Theres a lot of cheap tools that are imported and simply rebadged for the different stores.

You may get lucky with your brand. But I doubt it. Anyway a new battery would cost more than the drill.

I suspect that the price of replacement batteries is deliberately high so as to dissuade people from replacing them in preference to dumping the drill and buying a new one.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
