Is it ok to just take out 64bit of ram and just input a 256bit??? or do i need to anything else??

No its not as simple as that, many different types of memory. Go to http://www.crucial.com/uk/ and do a scan, it will tell you what you've got in your pc and what you can upgrade to.

If you only have 64MB RAm-- then you prob have SDRAM -- the older kind. We need more info -- like make/model of your motherboard to say any more.0
