Light Timers for Home Security

Can anyone recommend any timers for interior lights?
I am looking for something that will turn a couple of interior lights on and off while we are on holiday later this year.
I am thinking a couple so we can do the two rooms at the front of the house so maybe living room comes on when it starts to get dark and goes off at a timed or random time later in the night, followed by one which does the same for the bedroom. So it looks like we have switched off the living room lights and gone to bed.
I want something that will switch on and off to a program but maybe alternate randomly too so it doesn't look like it's on a timer, if you know what I mean.
Ideally one that replaces the switch plate would be best as we have a funny light fitting in the front room that will not take one of these plug in between the bulb and fitting type of timers.

Incidentally BandQ used to do these, you may find some left in store.0 -
I use a couple of plug-in timers for table lamps when we are away which may be an easier option. It also allows you to switch on and off a mains-powered radio with an 4-way extension cord.
The other thing worth considering is using energy-saving bulbs in the lamps you use.
Thanks

Morrisons were doing the plug in type (afraid you can't programme changes) for about £2.75 each but 2 for £4. I bought two about a month ago.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0
