Eyebrows threaded - anyone got any experience?

Hi
I'm thinking of having my eyebrows threaded before the wedding, which is at the end of May. Does anyone have any experience of this and when the best time to have it done would be? How long does it take to grow back?
I was thinking it might be best to have it done quite soon to check it suits me and then going again the week before the wedding maybe

I had it done last year, its a bit uncomfortable but worth it, I have thick eyebrows so mine grew back within 4 weeks, but my mum's didn't grow back for another 6 weeks as she has finer hair. They thread to the shape of your eyebrows, its a good idea to have it done now to see if you like the end result then maybe have it done a week before the wedding, try and get the same woman so you trust how she will do it

It hurts a little, leaves round your eyebrows bright red for a couple of hours but it's OK
I can't remember how long it was before the hair stared growning back but if you can keep them tame with tweezers everytime a little hair grows back they look good for longer and you can keep the shapeSealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

I had it done, it did hurt a wee bit, made my eyes water. Make sure you tell them clearly how you want it done though as they took far too much off mine for my liking I felt I looked wierd and surprised for a while.Booo!!!0

Hiya, I had mine done 3 weeks ago for the exact same reason! It does hurt a little, but definitely worth it! I have very dark brows and it was about 2 weeks until strays started showing. I definitely will have it done a day or two before the wedding, and will have it done asap, then fit in another before the final one before the wedding (i want to get used to it a bit, and she'll hopefully recognise me by the last one so it should be a breeze). She asked what i wanted done shape-wise (i have a good shape already so it was a tidy up) and it was perfect. She smoothed some aloe on after too, so well worth the £4.99 i paid!
Don't worry, I didn't know what threading was either! Just heard it was really good. It's done with a piece of cotton thread (!!) twisted into a figure of 8 almost, and the lady puts one end in her mouth (?!) and gets the hairs between the middle of the "8". It felt almost like they were being "snipped" but in a plucking kind of way......if any of that makes ANY sense at all!
One of my eyes watered alot, but overall it was a brilliant result

Hmm, i might have to look into this and get it done.
I hate plucking my eyebrows haha
Thanks

Does it hurt more than waxing, and do the results last longer?0

I wouldn't say it hurts more than waxing but it does take a bit longer, whereas waxing the pain is quick. Last time I got my eyebrows waxed I ended up with scabby/bruised eyelids (not sure why)so I have been wary of getting it done again.Booo!!!0

Hi
Results last for ages. My daughter and I go together. Hers seems to be a bit more painful than mine. They usually put a soothing gel on afterwards but it's well worth having done.0 -

Threading hurts more than waxing and I have always found that waxing lasts longer. Try and have your eyebrows done a week before the wedding otherwise you will look a bit red in the brow area, they put some soothing cream on but you will still look red. Ask the therapist if they use Australian Bodycare Wax with Tea Tree as this seems to be best and it doesnt irritate as much.
Threading is the asian way of doing things and is more painful.0
