hotmaill addy wont sign into new live messenger

Hi am hoping someone can help,

my brother has just got a new computer and put the new live messenger on to it anyway it will not let him go on it with his hotmail addy it wont even let him type in the box yet he has had family and friends with live email addys sign in no problem

is there any suggesions of what problem could be as he really does not want too change his addy if he can help it as he has a lot of important stuff on there

hi yeah he can sign into everything just not messenger it wont even let him type in the box as when he first set it up he had added his details and set it too save it and sign in automatically now when he goes too type his email addy it just freezes if you know what i mean yet if anyone else does it works fine

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling messenger as that sems to be where the problem is rather than the address.

Ive just downloaded the new msn and i couldnt sign in at first but i tried a second time and it worked, make sure the password is being entered correctly
