Can i get short term car insurance???

Hi guys.

i am a 17 year old male and have passed my driving test in january, but the price of full time insurance on a car of my own would be to much, so i was just wondering if anyone knew where/if i can get short term insurance on my dads car?:confused:

    Cheapest way would be to add you as a named driver to your dad's policy. However this will be a significant additional premium, unless your dad drives a Nissan Micra?

    Not trying to put a damper on it but I think that your age may very well preclude you from getting short term insurance. Most of the ones that I can find stipulate a min age of 21.
