Dear all,
This is my second attempt at writing a debt free diary - my first one fell by the way side due to not being able to update it at work. even though we can use facebook...madness!!!
Since my last diary I've changed dm providers and am now with payplan - so far soo good and only 6 years left! As you cam imagine that is my bone of contention I soo want to decrease it by a couple of years - maybe by the time I'm 30 which is in 2 and a bit years - over ambitious? Maybe - but it's worth a go!!
So what am i going to do to bring my debt free date forward several years:
- daily clicks. They certainly help fill up a few quiet moments at work.
- Onepoll surveys -as above.
- use cash back websites for renewing insurance.
- list more of my beloved books on greenmetropolis - so far I've averaged one book a month:eek: :rotfl:
- ebay
- carboot sales.
- take my own lunch into work - I do this most days and a few times a month I treat myself to a sandwich.
- charge my mobile at work.
- have as many nsd as possible.
So what else can i do:
- do carboot sales.
- maybe some adhoc waitressing at local events?
I also frequent the oldstyle board and get lots of inspiration from their on how to save money on various household things. plus i've become addicted to stardrops now!!!:rotfl:
I'm also taking part in the sealed pot challenge and the weekly spend challenge, even though I don't post on them much.
Enough of me rambling on - it's time to crack on with some cleaning..
Cx

Hi all,
Many thanks for your kind words.
today's been an eventfullish day, as I've done the following:
- Had a nsd yippie.
- Done all my daily clicks.
- Completed all my onepoll surveys.
- Joined dooyoo, after reading 1st one to clear 15k gets a paperhat.
- Also printed off the daily cashback guide adnd will look at joining some more.
- Checked greenmetropolis on several occasions - no books sold yet.
- Read the newspaper online.
- charged my mobile at work.
AT the weekend my car decicded to break down twice - thankfully the lovely RAC managed to get me back up and running, a broken thermostate. My oh and I have decided that it's time for me to trade in the beloved roller skate - boo hoo. However in the past 4 months it;s been for a swim in a big puddle and started to make some strange noises.
from looking on autotrader there are some fantastic deals to be had. thankfully we;ve got some money put aside to deal with events like this.
Enough of my rambles, it;s time for me to make tea - some pasta with pesto sauce and yes I'll make sure that I cook some extra for tea tomorrow.
Keep smiling and dont worry eat chips!

this evening to keep me away from drowling over items on the Long tall sally website, I've been helping my oh do a jigsaw puzzle and cracking on with my cross stitch Christmas present  - there are lots of colour changes and I know tonight I'm going to be dreaming in DMC colours.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
|the cross stitch is a labour of love, but I know that my dad will love it - he had better do!!!
Right time to crack on with the stitching.

Good Morning,
Well yesterday was one of those days, at work it felt as everyone wanted to pick my brains about someone. Maybe I should clone myself?Ok maybe not but it might mean that I can clear the debt quicker.
I did spend £5.05 in Tesco's last night on essentials - milk, eggs and some muller youghurts. apart from that i did the following:
- Bought my own lunch into work.
- Did my daily clicks and onepoll surveys.
- did two dooyoo reviews.
- charged my mobile at work.
- checked my greenmetropolis account on numerous occasions and no books sold!!!
- avoided the Long Tall Sally website :rotfl: and any other clothing websites.
- emptied my change into my various piggy banks.
I also did some more of my cross stitch last night, I'm a third of the way there. Just dreading how much it will cost to get it framed proffesionally.
My posts are going to be a tad erratic over the next 5 days. I'm taking my partner for a hospital appointment - nothing serious and then a medical review board, where we'll find out what his future holds in the armed forces.
right I'd better go and get ready for work.
Keep it low.

Hey! Just read the starts of your diary.
Have you been on Read it Swap it? You post your read books on, then you request swaps for books you want, or people request from you. It only costs you the postage charge for a 'new' MSE book!
Good luck with your £750 seal pot challenge too!0 -
Hi Cinny, I'll certainly look into that - I've got soo many books in my tiny apartment it;s hard to move!!!
My enteries will be erratic as I've already explained in my previous post, as on Monday my oh and I are going to his med review board. I'm expecting the worst that he'll no longer have a job and well I'll just have to rll with the punches.
Yesterday was another morning spent in a hospital trying to get to the bottom of my oh ankle problem. And surprise surprise more mri scans and maybe another operation or not?
My df journey is following the same path as my diary entries - erratic. I've been doing some daily clicks, but after a few minutes my mind wonders off and I want to do something else - like wash up or dust:eek:  :rotfl:
I've joined a few more cash back websites, why not take advantage of the daily clicks and then I can see what ones offer the best cashback for car insurance etc.
Still no books sold on greenmetropolis - I don't want to put them on ebay as you end up losing not making money. I might have a look at amazon or play, but I have to admit I hate paying fees for selling them.
I'm going to start looking through all the carp we've got in the apartment and see what I can take with me to a carboot sale later on this year. I'd like to think that would be a good way to get rid of the books, clothes and shoes :rotfl:
On a positive note, I've got some commission again this month. :j :j That will go straight in the savings pot and depending on the outcome on monday might be ysed to pay off some of my debt?!?!
today I'm going to do the following:
- Dismantle the spare bed and take it to the skip. No point putting it on free cycle it;s past it's sell by date.
- return the books back to the library.
- store cupboard tea
- Complete any clicks/surveys in my inbox.
- tidy the apartment.
- Clean the cooker with stardrops.
- Keep smiling and try not to think about Monday.
- possibly go for a bike ride - it does depend on the weather.
Thanks for reading my ramblings.

Morning all - this going forward an hour lark has confused my body clock! But the main thing is I wasn't up at 6.30 am instead it was 9.30:j :j
Onlt 24 hours to go until I find out the future on my oh future in the armed forices, no matter how much cleaning or baking I did, it was always on the back of my mind. On a posititive note, we've got two tins full of cakes and a sparking apartment
Today is mainly going to be the same as yesterday, cleaning, tidying and working my way through the mammoth pile of washing up. I swear I've got a pesky fairy that gets washing up from other apartments and putting it in my sink!!
the amount I'm getting now from the different daily clicks sites is slowly but surely adding up. It;s not a hugh amount but as tesco says every little helps!
We had our gas bill through yesterday from EDF  an estimated bill non the less but it estimated our useage as over £200 - and after checking the meter we'd not used the gas that they;d thought. My OH sorted it out:T and we're still in credit - but £116. :j :j :j .
it's a lovely sunny day today 0 hurrah, so I might go for a walk or even a bike ride somewhere!!!
Right time to get on wth the copious daily clicks..
Keep smiling and don;t worry - eat chips!!!

Morning all - a day off of work and I'm at a stupid hour. I blame it on being up at 4 am yesterday:mad:
Yesterday was a rubbish day, my oh and I went to his medical review board and it was a bleeping waste of time, petrol and the extra 250+ miles it added to the car! In a nut shell we'll have to wait another 5/8 weeks for the final decision   . I will try and keep calm and not spend too much money.:rotfl:
Enough about the crap day yesterday. Today is a new day and I will be posititve and complete all my daily clicks, work through the washing up - it never goes away, sort out the clean washing, go to the library - my second home!!!!
I've signed up to the nsd day challenge for april and have gone for 20 days:eek: . it'll be a challenge that's for sure - but it will be worth it as any money left over in the bank will be taken out and put into my sealed pot.
right enough of me waffling on - it's tiem to crack on with the washing up.

Hi all.
Sorry I've not updated my dairy for a while, it's been a tad hetic in the bookadict household.
The debts are still there - all £13.5k hanging over me like a black cloud. I am going to get rid of them as I keep saying and I've made some small positive steps, which are:
- Had 4/20 nsd so far this month.
- doing all my daily clicks.
- applied for a second job for an iceland store that's opening up towards the end of the year.
- looking for adhoc waitressing work, so far no luck.
- taken my lunch into work everyday last week and I intend to do the same this week.
- resisted the urge to buy some books iin Borders on Saturday. :T
Today is going to be one of those days at work me thinks! I really hate Mondays as I have to complete copious amounts of reports and moost have to be done by lunch time!!!!
right time to go and get ready for work.
