Hi People a question for you actually one of many
My Son joined the Army and one thing he had to have was an Iron so off he went to Curry's and bought a nice Phillips one Cause i told him get a good one anyway just over 1 week later the iron failed but as he was in the forces he wasn't able to get leave for 6 weeks so back to curry's we went only to be told we couldn't have a replacement it would have to be sent away so i tryed explaining again that he was in the Army and needed his iron to press his clothes, to which i was told buy a new one!! so we did but from another Retailer were they right to do this??

The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.

Legally they were right, they are entitled to repair or replace.
I would have thought that they could have made an exception though.Wedding 5th September 20150 -
No. They are entitled to repair or replace, as long as it doesn't cause the consumer unreasonable inconvenience. In this case, it was quite clear that the remedy they proposed was not appropriate.
I'd write to Head Office and complain in no uncertain terms.0
