Getting rid of British gas! Need some advice on other suppliers!

I have electric and gas with British gas and I want to change suppliers as they don’t seem bothered any more.
I’m on prepayment metres and I don’t owe them any money at all now, I have not owed them money for over two years.
I want to know what is a good company to get both my gas and electric from. And will they change my metres back to a normal metre?
British gas wants £175 a metre even though I don’t owe them any money and haven’t done for the last two years.
So any advice would really help me out.
And thanks
Ps i'm in Yorkshire

boogiemaster, it's not about how long you've been with the energy company, it's about your credit rating, and whether the company percieve that there may be problems in the future with you paying off quarterly bills on a credit meter.
Most energy companies operate the same policy, but remember, all Security deposits are fully refundable, and can only be used to pay off any accrued debt should you get into trouble - nothing else. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0
