Ways to save money at work

Hi all i thought i would start a thread to see if there are any ways that we can save money or gain a little extra from work.
Obvoiusly im not suggesting that anyone does any thing dodgy or illegal.
The biggest one i have found that helps is buying the office stationary.
I use Viking Direct and if you go through Quidco on each order you get 7% cashback and if you register your Nectar card as well you get 2 points per pound spent as well.
Also buying ink and other supplies through quidco.
Any other ideas?

If you mean the company gets the cash back then no its not dodgy but is suspect from your post
you are pocketing the discount, what on earth makes you think its not dodgy -
I bet you dont dare ask your boss if its dodgy.
i would think depending on the company you work for its a sackable offence.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I have spoken to the boss regarding this and as im in charge of the buying off stock and items he is more than happy if the items ordered are the lowest price or the best quality.
If he was to change his mind i wouldnt hesitate to stop instantly.
At the end of the day by searching for the best deals it saves the company money and there is plenty of times we dont use companys such as viking as they are so expensive.0 -
I have my breakfast when I get to work so I use their milk, I just bring in my own cereal. I'm not the only person to do this, loads of em are at it! lol

Our company has strict rules about the use of personal nectar cards, quidco etc and count it as fraud.
If your boss doesn't mind then that's fine, but it's a no-go for me.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Because the OP is using a cashback site and claiming personal points on their nectar card. Not illegal as such but a lot of companies frown on personal gain.
I used to work for a stationery supplier and we offered various vouchers to customers for buying certain amounts of things or spending a certain amount. We used to send the vouchers to the customers home address if they wanted so the company never knew.. some buyers earnt thousands extra overall.

Is the boss the owner of the company?
Do you share your gains or is it all personal gainmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

They invoice us at the full price and the company is happy to pay that. if we get freebies like tins of biscuits etc then they all get shared amongst the staff.
Same as when we get sent new clothes samples from suppliers they just get put on a table and who ever wants them can have them.0 -

It's a bit like this.
The company gives me £100 to spend on cleaning products. I go to Tesco and spend the £100. Company happy... however, I handed over my personal clubcard and earnt the 100 points so I will personally benefit from future money off vouchers and not my comany.
