How much for a kitchen extension?

Hi people!

BF and I are in the process of buying a lovely brick 1930's 3 bedroom semi. :T :D :j The kitchen is a bit small though and we are looking at maybe extending it in the future (maybe 2-3 years down the line). If anyone could give us a rough estimate base dont he following info, it would be great thx!

The kitchen's size at the mo is 2x3m roughly. We were thinking about extending it by about an extra 3m. The nieghbours have already done it, and it is quite a nice job, not a flat roof but a properly angled and tiled roof. The extension is bricks as well.

We were also thinking about moving the sink in front of the newly built windows, which will move the connections a further 3 metres. The cooker and the gas will have to be moved about the same distance too.

We were thinking about doing the plastering and fitting the kitchen ourselves. We will still need a leccy and a gas man obviously, wont be touching those stuff even with a bargepole.

If that can help with a quote, the house is in Southampton! I know the area can affect the prices. :money:

Thx in advance!

IMO best to ask again in 2-3yrs, as prices will have changed(UP) and building regs changed.
At the moment you wont get much change out of £10k
