Mewbie I can only agree
Its as if no one wants to say anything aside from the keep it banned in case it becomes obvious they were wrong before.
I remember the LD suggesting this a couple of years ago and the usual suspects chimed in that of course how could anyone b e safe with those ideas potentially being put into place
Theres no common sense, seriously. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Arguing from a utilitarian standpoint, there is a case for state provided spliffs.
Huge reduction in muggings/car crime/house breaking as the fiends not longer need to scrape together some cash for 'the man'. Reduction in insurance costs, reduction in tax for policing, better quality of life, less cash going into crime gangs.
For the users, they get sh*t of a certified quality, less chance of OD and less tax going into the NHS.
Keeping the stoned-classes on NHS supplied joints makes perfect sense. In fact rather than weed, why not come up with something synthetic that'll keep them docile and stupefied?

But then we would be subjected to a country full of giggling people running around eating and talking too much. Very annoying.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I can see a possible 2 problems with your thinking
(1) No tax. People will grow their own, or more correctly; more people would grow there own and the mountain sides full of Scottish heather may become full of a different product.
(2) You do not want a 'happy', or contented nation/workforce. They are just not as effective, nor eager to strive for greatness and money as a discontented one. Debt and marriage breakups etc are good as they keep people occupied, productive, needy and keep money circulating and the taxes roll in.
Now if you were smoking some wacky-baccy, you would not give a sheeet!GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.0 -

Why don't you do what you like but keep it south of the border and keep Scotland out of it ?0
