Butter Beans

My plot neighbour just grew the ones from the local food store, successfully. He had less luck last year but the weather was dreadful.
I had some which were supposed to be East European seeds but instead of white the flowers and seed where red. mottled like runner beans, even though the pods were butter bean type. i could not get a coherent answer from the seed provider as to whether the seed had been grown near other beans.
If they really were lunatus originally then coccineus will cross fertilize with lunatus. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
