Can someone tell me why it's OK to say thank you in a post on the day that someone posted but not a week later. IMO, neither is really on - posting to say thank you now just encourages those lovely people that bump it a week later.

We all appreciate what these people do, but can't you ALL stick to the thanks button to show it?

I just think that in cases like this, when a lot of work has gone into the answers, it's nice to say thank you IF YOU CAN DO SO ON THE DAY POSTED. If I'm late entering, I don't post.

After that, I had to come back and say 'thanks for sharing the answers'.

sorry but i agree with kateab, i dont see the point in bumping up with thanks, yes a lot of work has gone into doing the answers but it is still bumping and why should it be allowed for certain types of threads and not others?

take this morning, it was filled with real people, tab, thats life, this weeks and other weeks, it was ridiculous! thanks button is there for a reason:think:

right no more bumping for me;)
