buildings and contents payback bill

buildings and contents with two different insurers, both paying me for alternative accommodation, staying at mothers due to house fire with my family, back in my home but recently had a bill reclaiming money from one of the insurers is this right any help or advice please thanks mark

    Its not very clear what the bill was for and who it was from

    I thought you could ONLY make one claim per incident.

    Therefore I would think that you can only get your alternative accommodation costs from either your buildings or contents insurer.

    This could be why you have received a bill for the money back. There may be a register of claims so they can see that you have been paid already.
