  • Yeh but I've voluntarilly sent mine back - I wanted to make sure all the finance claims were bang up to date before I went to court, so I could tell 'em all to go shove their debt letters up their holes... But, when you think about it, they will only charge me for a tax disc, which can be added to my debts and cleared anyway...

As for the big IPA - I only earn £20k now and the advisor from the CCCS IVA section reckoned I'd only have about £90 a month left according to his figures (using some guide or other)

Why don't you post your SOA up here for comments and advice? If you are going bankrupt it doesn't matter whether your car has tax or not - the HP company cannot dictate terms to you as it will all go into your BR anyway.

    A clicky for your convenience.

It's a very good way of sharpening your thoughts - and it is the same way that the OR will view your finances. .

You are a definate star my man, that was EXACTLY what I was on about and looking for -is there any leeway to add the odd bit in here or there, like extra allowances or anything?

Either way, thanks a lot for the link :j

If the scooter is SORN then expect the OR to take it from you - as it is SORN you have proved that you don't need it and it is not essential.

Sorry, but scrap or SORN vehicles will be taken automatically - though you may have a chance to buy it back.

Aye, howerer, just returned the HP car so have no transport now so in middle of rebuilding it , I am going to claim for my bus fares to work initially - works out at about £53 a week - using scoot would equate to about £25, so going to argue that, at time or SORN had a car - car now returned as per HP agreement on bankrupts and scooter now only (cheap) means of transport - I work 20 miles away - no trains, only buses, return ticket is £10.50 day, no multi buy discounts - no alternative bus company - could always offer to go unemployed for a year

My hearing is in May - I reckon I could rebuild by April and get the tax back on by then....

    Cheers for reply mate
Only decided to return the car the other day (I's knackered anyway)

Am I right in thinking the outstanding finance and any repair bill from Ford would then become unsecured debt and could be included in the BR?

Yes, it would go into your BR.
