Does this invalidate my warranty on fridge freezer if moulded plug is removed and utility wired into a fused socket?

by 'fused socket' you mean a fused connection unit (sometimes called a fused spur)?

Either way as far as I am aware, yes it DOES invalidate warranty with regard to the electrical side, but not the mechanical.
I refuse to cut off plugs without my clients consent - and sometimes even with it. If the client wants to remove the plug then that is up to them but I always warn them of the issue of warranty.
