Need budget hotel in Florence

Options
Looking for a not too expensive hotel in central Florence next April (5 nights). Prices seem to go up 80% on 1st April! but we can't make it in March. Double room with private facilities between main station and Duomo would be ideal.

We stayed at hotel scoti on Via Tornabuoni.(which has all the designer shops)
very central , very reasonable with a lovely unusual sitting room and run by a really nice woman.
Can't seem to find a www addy for it .

if you are planning to visit the uffizi try to book the tickets in advance ,to avoid standing in a queue for up to an hour(summer)

Try https://www.hotelconnect.co.uk for short breaks in major cities anywhere in Europe. Strongly recommended for being very efficient and good value. Used them several times in the past.

Hotel Medici is probably the best budget hotel in Florence - situated 2 mins walk from the Duomo. For prices try https://www.hotelscomparison.com for reviews go to https://www.virtualtourist.com - search on Florence then on hotels - draw your own conclusion! ;D

A useful website for florence is -
    https://www.weekendafirenze.com
where you can book tickets etc.
When stopping for a coffee or cold drink in a cafe near to the duomo you are cheaper to do as the locals do and stand at the bar ! if not you can pay double for sitting at a table
Have a nice time as it's a very beatiful city

    Hi there!

I'm also looking for somewhere to stay in Florence, but at the beginning of March...............

I'll already be over there, learning Italian, but my boyfriend is coming out to visit me and so I'm looking for a decent hotel (but cheap). I've been searching and searching, and so far this one looks quite good - and it's got good reviews.http://caravaggio.hotelinfirenze.com/

Budget doesn't seem to come into the Florentine vocabulary, as I was initially looking at hostels but they weren't too much cheaper. However, take a look on https://www.hostelworld.com as there's a wealth of choice. Probably a bit too much...............

Haven't booked anything yet for myself, so fingers crossed Hotel Caravaggio is still available.

PS I was also looking for a "Room with a View", but it's not possible on a budget, unless some other people know something that we don't!
