Im probably being thick here but have noticed on items that I am selling the same bidder bids twice, with the same price. What do they get out of doing this. Eg they bid 2 days ago and have today bid the same price for the same item. TIA

It's proxy bidding, it means they have a higher bid in but that won't be triggered unless someone else bids as well. If no one else bids it goes at opening price.
