How can i incoperate Red into the theme?

If the main theme is black and white you should maybe hint at the red. Defo red buttonholes, tie's or cravats. A few balloons. Have the guests throw red and white rose petals (very bio degradeable) Splashes of red will look wonderful but use in moderation so the black and white theme stays consistant without being overtaken with the colour.

Personally I find that rude, I am entitled to my opinon, I gave an answer for the red to the OP, I also wished her good luck for her wedding.

Personally I think you should pack it in.

Gosh, if it's unlucky for just the bridesmaids in black, what about the bride? I'm wearing black and ivory, but mostly black.

Flowers are a great idea to incorporate colour into a wedding but little accent touches like confetti, petals, battery powered fairy lights in vases etc, organza swags, etc are good as well, little easy touches that don't break the bank. Also what about red packaged fortune cookies that could double as decorative and favours? Red feathers in your flowers and the table decorations which is what I have done with mine, I have pink and ivory flowers and have weaved some black feathers through them on floristry wire. What's the big deal about that? She didn't tell anyone what to do, just expressed her opinion which is after all what these forums are for!


Evansangel, I would go for red ties, red button holes for the groom/BM and ushers and red sashes or wraps and bouquets for the bridesmaids.

Regarding the red though - make sure, if possible that you source similar items (ie cummerbunds and handkerchiefs) from the same place as there are so many shades of red...as an accent colour you need to ensure that the accessories are the same shade of red or it might just look 'thrown together'. HTH
