As you might know then I have been sporting a fab bump for the last few months and in 8 weeks baby Roo is due to join us at the T household... However being ever MSE and frankly not having found anything i like... I am still missing a nice cot tidy and a nappy stacker. I've looked on the interweb and i can't find any patterns for either of them so was wondering if anyone here might have a pattern or some ideas?
I just want pretty plain things really - the range we're working the nursery round is the Toys'R'Us Winnie the Pooh cot range so not extreemly colourful but very calming and very us So very simple lines would work best I think.

I haven't got a pattern, but found this on a site. It looks relatively easy to make, copy or adapt. I am pretty pathetic with a needle and thread, (not even willing to share my experience with a sewing machine!) but I think even I could make this up

Mrs Tine, Congratulations I had no idea you were hiding that one! :rotfl:
Could you scour the charity shops and try and find a really cheap one which you could use as a pattern for the nappy stacker? I don't think they are that hard to make?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0

Thanks rusty Well the bump is a bit hard to hide and I spend most of my time on the pregnancy thread at the moment lol! Well the bump is a bit hard to hide and I spend most of my time on the pregnancy thread at the moment lol!

Aww stop it you will make me all broody :rotfl:
I have to tackle the mountain in the garage but I am pretty sure in a box in there is my little ones old nappy stacker (I bought it second hand from a charity shop and used it for all of 2 months to look pretty on the side of DD's cot :rotfl:) If I can find it then I can send it down to you if you want. Probably no good for you to use as it is a lemon colour with I think stars on but you could use that as a template or something?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0

 Hi, congratulations!!!
I made up a nappy stacker (and a basic cot bumper) for my DD.
I'm pretty sure I still have the sewing pattern somewhere (and am sure the pattern includes a cot tidy too).
Will have a hunt for it, and get back to you.

            Hi,
many moons ago...about 14! I made a nappy stacker from scratch. I made a prototype with paper and then made it with fabric, I used a wooden coat hanger to hang from on inside.
it lasted for 3 babies worth of terry nappies!
it's worth a go , have a play with paper and see what you think, HTH!0

MrsTine, yes .... I've found the sewing pattern :j

            Congratulations MrsTine :T
I know this isn't what you are asking for but the best thing I bought when DS2 was born was a couple of over door storage things and I kept nappies, bibs, muslins in them. Out of the way yet close to hand at the same time.
Like this but mine are blue and were MUCH MUCH cheaper (got mine from ebay) http://www.caraselledirect.com/_/one_over_the_door_organizer_-_cream_storage_range.1056-1.php?View_Type=Category&CategoryFrom=107
Best wishes with everything  If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0  If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

Aaahhh, it's bringing back such happy memories, of me sitting heavily pregnant sewing away in DD's nursery.
