    Spud there is nothing wrong with you putting your trainers on and walking surely?? Perfect way for you to get those muscles working (gently) burn some calories without getting your heart working to hard.
    I also have horrendous family history heart problems, which is one of the reasons I am trying to keep fit now..GDad Died at 52 and Dad 58
    I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

    I'm OK hun. My dad died of a massive heart attack at 38, and mum at 46 so I think they just want to minimise my risks and make sure it isnt hereditary.

    I reckon they will likely prescribe diet and exercise :rolleyes:

    No I'm sure walking will be fine Sally.

    I'm going to try and get my blood tests done this week, then go for the rest in the school hols ;)

    Spud I had to have heart test thingies when I started running too - it was all fine, but I was so worried, so (((hugs))).

    Thanks hun. I'm OK about it. I'd rather know if there's owt wrong and get it put right than have what happened to my dad happen to me.

    I'm just annoyed that I went to my GP, and asked if I was OK to run, and he said yes. It's as though he didnt even read my notes :rolleyes:
