Have returned items bought online but still no refund.

I purchased two girls dresses and headbands from an online retailer. The sizing was not accurate (far too big despite the label being correct age), there was also a stain on one of the dresses. There was no returns form in parcel so I telephoned company and they told me they woud email something for me to print off and place in package. I returned the item on 27/2/09. The website states you will receive your refund within two weeks. I have telephoned them twice and have been told that they can't track the refund as they receive them in batches from the warehouse and mine isn't in the most recent batch of refunds. The second time I called (a week later) I was told someone would get back to me, and they haven't. I sent a letter of complaint and addressed it to the customer service department and have still heard nothing. I don't know if I am allowed to mention the company's name but I think they are an established company so I don't see why they would have a problem tracking items. I'm wondering if it's gone astray because it didn't have the proper returns form in it. Does anyone know my rights and what would be the next best action? Thanks

How did you send it back to them? Did you get proof of postage / collection?

Was the postage prepaid?

I'd call them again & again until you get an answer...
