A while back pigsback were doing an offer for 100pp to get a free next directory.. This was agesss ago. But this month they have set up an account without asking with a credit limit and are trying to charge me £3.75 for a catalouge which i believe you pay anyways but i was under the impression it was completely free!! I received it months ago but the statement says 11march for this new catalouge or something.
I cannot seem to find the page with the deal. But i do not want to pay this what should i do? Do i have a leg to stand on? THey dont have my bank details so is it worth ignoring do you think eventually they would really send debt collectors?

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.:hello:0 -
Why don't you ring them??
For the sake of £3.75 is it worth all the aggro??
I have just signed up to the directory and had my catalogue, its lovely, good quality and well worth the money.
You physically have to sign up to the account and it does state that they will give you a credit limit (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE IT) and you physically enter your detail to order the next directory and it states it will cost £3.75 or the option says 'do not send me a catalogue AND charge me for my first delivery at £3.99 or 'Do send me a copy of the directory for £3.75 and give me my first delivery free'
In relation to having a leg to stand on, in order to receive the directory you have filled in your details, confirmed you wanted an account and credit limit, agreed to pay the £3.75 and asked for the directory.. so no.
If you didn't want it why did you fill the details in? They don;t just send them out to random people and give random peope credit limits.. if only!0 -
I had the same problem a while back, they sent me the cat and I can't even remember requesting it. Just ring them and say you didn't want it, they are usually happy to remove the charge. I wouldn't worry they are usually pretty good at just refunding.0
