Gas bill unit cost
On my latest gas bill from British Gas, they have removed the unit pricing from the bill.
In spite of their much hyped price reduction in February, there is no way to check this as the units up to Feb 18th are shown(estimated) and up to March, but only a total price.
Gas and electricity bills have always been unit priced until now, but this stops you comparing rates from different companies.
I rang up tonight and expressed my dissatisfaction with this new billing method, but it will take more than my disgust to move BG from this retrogade step.

id say it was illegal to withhold this information, it is a bill and needs to be quantified, else they can charge what they like, definately get ofgem involved!
ps, you can read your own meter, check the display against recent bills and work out the units yourselfTarget Savings by end 2009: 20,000

Unit pricing should still be on the newly designed bill.
An example of the redesign can be found in this thread:

As you'll see, the unit prices should be on the reverse side of the bill

I looked at your redesign example, and my bill is different as it misses out those lines with unit prices.
I have just rung up BG, and after checking my bill, they admit there is no unit pricing on it, so it is being reported as a fault. I am in Eastern Pricing Area, so do not know if this applies to all the area(I do not get paper bills. Thanks Premier, without your example, I would not have realised my bill was faulty.0
