MY latest gas bill...
I've just had my online bill and boy is it huge:

526 units used
£678.11 inc VAT!!!
The bill for (nearly) the same period last year was £386 for 463 units.
I guess with the winter being worse I'd expect to use more. But that price is terrible. I'm on the BG fixed until 2011.
Sound about right compared to others?

Is it an estimated bill??

Roughly 16306kwh over 104 days. Roughly 150kwh a day. You're being charged for an imperial meter so check yours isn't metric. Then check the opening reading wasn't estimated.
If all that checks out, it comes down to using more gas because it's been very cold, I think.0 -
Since the price has gone up by 55% that's only a very small £80 extra consumption!0
