My Extremely Gas bill

I've just received my online gas bill and I'm staggered to discover that it is an incredible £283.06!!! That's from 24 Dec 08 - 17 Mar 09!!! I'm single and I work all day. I have my heating on from 6-10pm, 6-9am and my water from 6-7pm, 6-7am. I'm staggered by this amount so I called British gas to find out what's going…

Sounds like you need to change your energy 'bad' habits. Im not preaching as from bitter experience Ive learned to alter mine. It can be done, my gas bill was £239 after discounts, for a family of five with the wife and child in all day.

We averaged 78kwhs a day, down from a 110 last winter, despite it being much colder. Buy yourself a summer quilt for the sofa and a woolly jumper. That's what we did.
