Quick question - my hubby & I only started collecting tokens last week, so we're still stuck at 4 :(. Now, we're looking to go to Cornwall in June before all the school kids run amock, but obviously with no tokens yesterday or today I'm getting nervous there won't be ANYTHING left by the time we get all 7!

Do you think that since we're trying to go before the school hols we've still got a chance at booking something decent?

    It's worth a try anyway

not got much to lose ( apart from the cost of a few papers and stamps)

maybe someone on here wil have some spare tokens ,they are not using / needing

When you state decent its hard to say whether what you will get is classed as decent in your opinion.

As a youngster I went to Southport Pontins many times on a swim week. It was a great time as I got some serious swimming training sessions for a week for free. So I admit my opinion may be a bit warped.

I decided to try Southport pontins a few years back on sun holidays. We had a great time with a couple of friends. Having warned them to expect the worst before going. We were in a budget chalet, had electric on a coin operated system, we thought that the park looked a bit like a POW camp from the outside with barbed wire, watched a bloke from our front window get nicked by some security guards for pinching TVs and moving them into a chalet across the way, sat in the entertainment room with some big guys with tattoos all over their arms and seven different kids running around (not saying theres anything wrong with tattoos or other stuff (I'm trying to paint a picture thats all)), the towel rail in the toilet came off as soon as you touched it, the cooker took forever to warm up, there was an inch gap under the door when you shut it, etc. In fact that weekend we saw Shane Richie playing the drums, to our surprise. However there are loadsa shops in Southport and a really long beach with fantastic kite flying space.

Most others who go there might not manage the full weekend. However the things listed above were the highlight of the weekend - we actually enjoyed people watching and it was fun as we had good company, you just need to laugh at some of the stuff that happens. Lets face it some people are less fortunate than ourselves, right.

So it all depends on what you class as decent and what company you take.

    Never

    :rotfl:

If it was us then thanks a million :D

We've been using sun holidays ever since, hadn't heard of them before that family told us about them at ruda ten years ago :T

My parents love Ruda, and they took me with them once when they had a motor home (so we could all fit in the same car lol!). I couldn't normally afford holidays though, so whoever told me about the sun enabled me to take my little boy on caravan holidays when I was a skint single mum :D

    Have PM'd you code Princesskel.

*Yorkie, will contact you tomorrow if I can get other one for you

Scottie's mum you're so kind - you gave me a code a year or two ago and I was really grateful :D

I hope something nice happens for all the lovely people who've been giving away codes on here! I wish I could give mine away but I used it to book the holiday I'm sharing with my parents (I'm taking my 3 year old on the train - 5 hour journey -eek! while my eldest is away with my husband). My mum still has her code but my brother and his girlfriend are dithering and can't decide whether to book using it or not.

Obviously if it does become available I'll give it away on here, but nobody hold their breath.

I would love a code too.

My wife and I split up and she has used her code to book a break with the kids and I would like to do the same.

    Can anyone help

    Thanks

I hope they don't cancel them either. It's a much greater pleasure to have something to give which can be of a greater use to someone else. All the better two people get an opportunity to use it. It kinda brightens up your day twice as much. :D

Any road - you have carried out an interesting (accidental) experiment. Theoretically say you got together with another chum and both wanted to book sun holidays. Lets say you log in at exactly the same time without booking and carry out some searches you could actually book two holidays.

I would be grateful if you could let us know when you get a confirmation of your booking letter through to prove that this might work and it would kinda prove that it could work.

Will be sure to let you know if I get the confirmation letter?! Many thanks;)
