Warning - Thompson's rep Gran Canaria

We attended the welcome meeting at the Don Miguel in Playa del Ingles and was told that we would be advised of our departure time the day before leaving. It did not happen.

We were told at the welcome meeting that they did not have discount cards for the buses. Wrong, available in photo shop in Jumbo Centre, priced 15e and gives 20 discount on local buses. Would have saved us £20.

She told us there would be storms at the weekend, wrong, sunny and dry both days, light rain one day in two weeks.

She told us to see her if we were going to Las Palmas as there were two bus stations. We wanted to go to Cors del Ingles. She said it was at the Catalina clinic, to the south of Cors del Ingles, it was to the north of the store!

So, 4/4 wrong, never had a rep like this even with Thomas Cook!

People can easily do a lot of research on the internet about their holiday destinations before they even arrive.

Specific holiday websites, such as Tripadvisor and Holidaytruths are invaluable sources of advice and information.

I'm sure you could have found out about the discount bus tickets and the correct bus station from either of those sites.

The rep predicted the wrong weather?
Hey, so do some of the people who are employed by the Met Office.
Are you complaining that she said it would be stormy and it was sunny and dry instead? :rotfl:

So what actually happened about your departure time?
What was the reason for not being advised?
Did you miss the coach to the airport?

Finally, did you actually say anything to the rep about the problems you encountered?

I always use tripadviser hotel reviews to check for holiday tips.
Can't believe you think she is resonsible for getting the forecast wrong though!!
I never go to welcome meetings-got better things to do-just an excuse to give you a glass of cheap plonk and flog you overpriced excursions they get commission on-he he-once got told we were antisocial by a rep for not attending..
