    I thought that only applied if you want to drive right through Yosemite. You can still visit the areas in Yosemite Valley as far as I am aware. Agreed though that you won't be able to make the most of the visit at this time of year.

    No, you won't be able to drive into the park further than the checkpoint.

    I was turned away there 5 years ago. I was told the snow was 20ft deep by the ranger.

    Just came back from my trip and Yosemite National Park is AMAZING so beautiful had gorgoeus clear blue skies and sunshine did a few short walks as only there for half a day but would def recommend going there. Dont go to LA and spend more days here.
