Mobility Appeal

Options
Hi I need help,

My Dad has been on Mobility for 8 years due to a degenerating back condition. A couple of months ago he went into hospital and had one on his knees replaced and since then they changed his benefit to the lower band.

When he speaks to them they say they are awaiting the outcome of his knee operation as it may improve his mobility. He has appealed because the pre existing back condition but they just don't seem to listen. They keep reading the same pre prepared statement to him. In the mean time he's trying to live on a fraction of the money.

It doesn't seem right to me.

Is there anything we can do?

Many thanks

They wouldnt just change the DLA rate due to an operation,he must have had a review since them or informed them himself of a change of circumstance.
Which ever it is then if he has been notified that his DLA is being lowered he can appeal,he should seek help from welfare rights or cab, with the appeal.
