So this forum is actually a list with real names and numbers rather than just a posting wall for names read on capital (which I thought was the purpose of the facebook one)?

Does this mean that all members will have access to all info so that when a name is read everyone can check the list to see if this is someone from the forum and then be able to let them know?

That's the idea, yeah - a sticky for a the list of names/numbers, then post pretty much as we have been doing already. Might be best if people post their own numbers just in case anyone has any objections to their number being on the forum? Of course, someone here will have that list anyway, so no big worry.
