Every weekday from Monday we'll be offering lucky Capital listeners the chance to have one of their bills paid. It doesn't matter what the bill is, mobile phone, credit card, council tax - we'll pay it for you and help you beat the credit crunch!

How do I play?

• You need to register to play.
• Choose the form below for the amount your bill is - we'll be choosing a minimum of two entrants in the first two categories (from 0-£500) each day, and a minimum of one draw a day in the second two categories (from £500-£1000).
• Then keep listening to Capital to find out if you've been selected to play.
• Every hour between 7am and 7pm we'll choose one entrant at random and read out their details on-air. If your entry is read, you'll have exactly half an hour to call Capital on 0207 4848 958 to claim your prize, and that's it! Consider your bill paid by us!
• But if you don't call Capital within half an hour you've lost your chance! So keep it Capital and keep listening. (Check out full terms and conditions ).
• You can enter each category once

RULES
The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at capitalfm.com apply to ‘Pay Your Bills’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from Monday March 23rd to Thursday April 9th (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is 95.8 Capital FM.
Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
1. Details of the Competition
1.1 To enter the Competition an Entrant must go online to capitalfm.com and register their details. Entrants will only need to register once to be eligible for selection throughout the run of the contest. Registration will start on Thursday 19th March at 6am and will close at 3pm on Wednesday April 8th.
Entrants will be able to choose a category within which their bill falls:
(i) £100 and less (from which a minimum of 2 contestants will be selected daily)
(i) £100.01 to £250 (from which a minimum of 2 contestants will be selected daily)
(i) £250.01 to £500 (from which a minimum of 1 contestant will be selected daily)
(i) £500.01 to £1000 (from which a minimum of 1 contestant will be selected daily)
Entrants are allowed to place one entry in all four categories. There will be 12 executions per day.
1.2 At 3pm on each day of the Competition contestants will be selected at random from all eligible entrants to date. (contestants for Monday’s rounds will be selected at 3pm on Friday). These contestants will feature on air on the following day of the contest.
1.3 The competition rounds will be conducted from Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm. The presenter will read out the NAME, TYPE OF BILL and the AMOUNT of bill. Said person will have half an hour (30 minutes) to contact the station on the studio phone number in order to claim their prize (0207 48 48 958). No other form of communication will be acceptable and this call must be made in person by the named entrant.
1.4 Security checks will be performed when a claim is made to the prize. This will be a combination of address verification and recall of a password supplied by the contestant at point of entry.
1.5 If the contestant fails to contact the station by phone within the specified 30 minutes then no prize will be awarded.

2. Eligibility
2.1 Entrants must be over 18 to play
2.2 Contestants can only play once. Regardless of the amount won, once a contestant has been selected and announced on air they will be ineligible for future selection and the entry will be removed.
3. Prize
3.1 The prize will be a cheque to the value of the bill registered online.
3.2 The cheque will be made payable to the individual who registered and completed the on air activity. For the avoidance of doubt the cheque will not be made payable to any other party (including the company with which the bill is held).

LOLAF

Capital Radio are now running a PYB competition which is due to start next week. The only way to win is to call the studio within 30 minutes from your name being called.

As we are all busy ladies (and chaps) that do not have time to listen to the radio all day, I thought about starting this thread.

I would like to suggest that every time from 7:00am to 7:00 pm that you hear a name being called and the bill amount - you post the name and the bill/amount here to increase chances of all of us having our bills paid.

Any thoughts?

I think you completely misunderstood the idea. Everyone that registers with Capital needs to listen in or else if their name is being called and they do not phone the studio they lose.

What I suggest is to increase one's chances on winning. As each one of us is busy during different times of the day then if someone hears a name being called and post it - it gives an opportunity to the person whose name was called to phone in if that person missed its name on air....

But if you're busy and can't listen to the radio, why would you be free to check the thread to see if your name is on there?

when virgin/Absaloute did this people put on airs winners name on here for those that could not listen to the radio i think some one who is willing to do the same for this competition would be welocmed with open arms and in advance id Thank the person who takes the time to listen to capital and post the names.

Capital is my station BUT I'm unsure if I can listen out all the time as I have a young baby. I will post the names when I do hear them though. Good luck this time as we did badly with absolute :cool:

I'm working during the day, and don't have the opportunity to listen to the radio, but it is very easy for me to follow the thread; which is exactly what I did during Absolutes competition.

I am also out of the Capital broadcasting area, don't have DAB, and find the amount of downloading it takes to listen to online radio pushes me over my allowance

I, for one, was very grateful for the regular updates last time (even though my name wasn't called!).

Seeing I never won the Absolutely one maybe this one will be luckier I'll keep listening when I can and post as I hear them. Hopefully they will stick to the same times every day like Absolute did - that made it easier
