Responding to neutral feedback?

Hi just a quick question, I know as a seller you can respond to negative feedback, but can you do the same for a neutral feedback? If so how? Do you think its worth doing this anyway or does it put buyers off/appear petty?

I've just got my first ever neutral because the buyer decided they didn't like the item and despite extreme politeness and me offering a full refund on return, they said it wasn't worth the return postage (for a £3 coat, nor did I!) Ah well, could have been worse was expecting a neg from their emails.
Started Comping 25th September 2013.
October wins :j : Chapstick Goodie Bag, Mixed Case of Kumala Wine, £10 Two Seasons Gift Voucher, Elizabeth Shaw Chocolate bar, Schwarzkopf Colour Mask, Eco Soap Sample Bundle.

November wins: Cheerios 6 pack, MUA Primer

You can respond to any feedback you like including positives.

That's a bad idea as like custardy says they get removed if buyer complains, If the negative is removed you also get a selller warning on your dashboard for misuse of the feedback system. I'm sure we have been through this before but why give a buyer a positive for bad behaviour, it makes the whole thing nonsense and just means buyers get more and more positive feedback to make them look good.

The original question here was responding to feedback, and this is not the same as leaving feedback in return. It is possible to respond to feedback left by going through the feedback console.

As a buyer, yes it appears really petty, and it puts me off. If I have a problem, I would expect a resolution, not a name calling match.
A dignified silence is far better.
