Someone at work has mentioned when they used this voucher the meals available with the voucher were a lot smaller than the regular menu meals. Has anyone esle found this??

    Thanks

Yes Sarah, its another subtle rip off,I'm surprised M.S.E. has not done the research first. All these things need following up,before trumpeting them out on M.S.E. NOT EVERYTHING IS WHAT IT SEEMS,and you can be misled by these false claims.Have the courage to refuse,if the portion is miniscule or of poor quality, just like POOR ADVICE condemn it out of hand.:mad:

I'm not sure that this is MSE's job?! If they spent money on researching all the deals, they would have a lot less to spend on the site. From what I gather, they have a lot of contact with PR companies regarding offers, and with chains like this, they promote a discount with the idea that the company offers it in good faith.

Obviously these forums (and this particular discussion) are for MSE users to then share their experiences. As this thread is started by MSE, I'm sure they would respond if they were disturbed by the findings.

And on the topic started here, I must admit I find HaHa meals very large, but you can't pay less for a smaller portion. So in this case a slightly smaller meal for quite a lot less money would probably still be good value. (Just speculating though as I haven't seen how much smaller the meals are coming up as - must say I've found the meals to be still generously sized when using the voucher.) Each to their own and all...

i like ha ha & didnt think the portions were small when we used a voucher but i didnt like the fact that there was 4 of us, we had 2 vouchers but we could only use one per party. i work in a restuarant & can see how this might be annoying to lose out on the price of 2 meals but we accept as many vouchers as you have as long as you have enough for the whole party

I was really disappointed with the food at Ha Ha. It's basically similar quality to Weatherspoons - frozen reheated fish cakes was a particularly bad choice. Not that I would really mind so much if they charged Weatherspoons prices.
  • not too sure where some of you guys have eaten with ha ha?!! i visit my local one on a regualar basis with, and without vouchers, and the meals are always first class. the portion sizes are the same regardless of the visit. how would the chef know you had a voucher?? u dont present it until the end of the meal after all!!!! the quality of food is always good and i must say, if anyone can buy frozen fishcakes that good, i'd like to know where you get them! maybe u just had a bad visit on this occaision? personally, i think its great and the vouchers are just fabulous waay of getting great value.
