scottish power rant- any advice

Options
I we changed over to sp in november after a door to door salesman promised cheaper monthly DD's we were paying £50 per month with Atlantic but had gone way over so he fixed our DD for £60 per month and promised that would cover everything we would never go over huh
Got our bill this month saying our DD's do not cover the amount we use so they're changing them from £60 to £112 nearly double
Rang the helpline and got no joy I wish Id stayed with Atlantic

Thats exactly what they did to us. We were paying £60 per month to the previous supplier, got a call from Scottish Power who promised to make it £55 a month, we left the previous supplier and owed them very little, after switching Scottish Power raised it to £89 per month and when we left a few months ago we owed them £511 , the moral of the story is, dont trust Scottish power!
  • B**locks honestly they drive you insane dont they! Did you pay £511 in full?

But gas and electricity are billed as pay for what you use - it's only the unit price you can fix. If you want to pay £60 a month, you need to clear the outstanding balance and halve your annual consumption.
