Ok people. Now you have solved my appliance problem http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1569713 (ty) all that needs to be resolved is new flooring for my new kitchen.
I fancy some sort of vinyl flooring. But not sure if i should go for tiles like amtico etc or a sheet product. I have 2 dogs who reside in the kitchen so it needs to be reasonably tough.
Regards, Ben

amtico is very expensive to buy and very expensive to fit as I fit it for a living.there are many really hard wearing vinyls that would be suitable for a kitchen.I have armstrong fitted in mine and have a rather heavy bull terrier and have had no problems with puncturing etc. look for a slip resistant vinyl as they tend to have a good wear layer .hope this helps0

karndean might be worth a look.
a bit cheaper than amtico and the top range, they have three, has 7mm wear layer same as amtico.0
