Ok people. Now you have solved my appliance problem http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1569713 (ty) all that needs to be resolved is new flooring for my new kitchen.
I fancy some sort of vinyl flooring. But not sure if i should go for tiles like amtico etc or a sheet product. I have 2 dogs who reside in the kitchen so it needs to be pretty tough.
Regards, Ben

Vinyl cushion flooring is a brilliant washable product which is not too expensive, and should be fine, even if you have dogs constantly in the rooms. I would quiz the carpet shop and select a product with a wear layer of 0.25mm or more (the thicker the wear layer, the harder it is and less likely to puncture under heavy strains). Watch some of the 'textured' vinyls: they tend to be difficult to clean out the ground-in dirt.
LEOLAN, NOVILLON, BEAUFLOR and RHINOFLOOR are all reputable vinyl floorcovering brands which your flooring shop will recognise! I would avoid any products where a brand name or manufacturer details cannot be produced.
If money is no object, go for an Amtico/Karndean type product. Just be aware that you will pay CONSIDERABLY more for the supply and fit of this product, but will have a feel and appearance not dissimilar to real wood or stone, and will keep its appearance for an age!Profit=sanity
