Boiler timer ticking loudly

My combi boiler timer is suddenly started ticking loudly is this anything i should be concerned about?

I'm sorry. The answer is not what I was hoping for.
Sometimes you get a clicking noise if the pipework is restricted in some way, and rubbing as it expands.
Without hearing it I have no idea.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -

It's when it stops you should worry!!
They are a mechanical timer. If/as/when it does pack up you might be able to fit a digital one in the same place. Check the Vaillant web site.

the pcb board need changing i expect, like ours. it come on when the water or heating is turned on, then it would start clicking and it worked intermittedly. they are about £100 odd plus labour.0
