Cheap Luton Airport parking

We fly from Luton regularly, and have started to use the car park at Luton Parkway railway station. It's currently £4.20 a day or £20 a week. The car park is manned (v helpful staff) and has CCTV. There's a frequent free shuttle bus between the station and the airport between 5 a.m. and 11p.m. (takes 10 min).

Hi. does the shuttle bus do the return journey as well during these times - ie for getting back to your car after arriving home? Plus if I wanted say 10 days parking would i be able to do a week + extra days (£20 +12.60) or just the number of days(£42)?
Many thanks

Yes the shuttle does the return journey free too. In fact last time we came back around midnight on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and still managed to get a bus. We were worried there might not be buses as the trains they are meant to link to finished at about 9:30 p.m. that day. (If there hadn't been one, we would have taken a taxi)
And yes you can do extra days - think it's probably charged as you suggest - haven't tried it yet.0 -
Thanks so much for that, PNE fan. I'm flying on Sunday morning, staying for 6 nights.PNEfan wrote:We fly from Luton regularly, and have started to use the car park at Luton Parkway railway station. The Station will be well over £20 cheaper than pre-booked Long-Stay, and the transfer shouldn't be much longer - it's quite a schlepp out to Long Stay too...
Top Money-Saving. Duly thanked

Just reporting on my Luton Parkway Parking experience, as per my last post.
Arrived 5am last Sunday morning. Paid £20 up front (tired-looking man in cubicle) for my ticket, went to the front of the Train Station (100 yards) to wait for the bus.
Bus arrived 5.25 am. Transfer to airport was less than 5 minutes.
Arrived back at Luton last night, plane landed at 9.47pm, and I was through passports, collected my suitcase bag, waited for the bus, took the bus back to the Station, walked to my car and was on my way at 10.18pm - less than half an hour of us touching down!
In summary, VERY cheap, VERY convenient and I'd certainly use it again, unless it was perhaps a one-day job, when I'd probably go Short Stay.
HUGE thanks for MSE, and PNEFan
