I caught part of a radio programme the other day on Talk Sport about a box that plugs into the back of your TV costing approx £140 and then via the internet you could watch English programmes when you was abroad. I can't remember what it was called but I think it began with a S.......box?

This any use to you: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/de.sullivan/
Your question is quite unclear, exactly what are your circumstances "when abroad". Are you staying in a hotel, caravan what?
It could possible be the SKY Freeview Package which used to be freely available at such places as Argos or Woolworths which they were talking about. If all else fails, then email radio5 and ask them, if you have a timestamp ie: the approximate time the item was mentioned, this would help them trackdown the item you're interested in.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
One way is through Location Free TV. Sony is marketing this out of the UK. Not sure when it will be on sale here or what the quality is like. Interesting if you have a friend who lives abroad and you want to see programs from their country. Not sure about the broadcast rights though.0

I don't think it was anything to do with satelite tv. They were discussing using it via your laptop and internet, e.g. to watch Coronation Street instead of watching porno films in hotel rooms.0

For that you would need broadband to connect to the "server" in your house.
It would not be worth paying for broadband access just to watch TV.0 -
You are paying fr your broadband while you are on holiday anyway so you might as well get some use out of it.0

i know what these are, i will have a look cant remember the name. you need a box in the location and then connect to it over the internet, but you would need a very fast connection for it to work both ways,Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0
