Barclays sold Monument in June 2007, but retained some of the accounts and gave them a Barclaycard instead - you must have been one of them.

The remaining Monument customers are now serviced by the new owners, Compu Credit UK.
  • I have had my card for over six months now and still no limit increase. I cleard the balance in full for 5 of those months and now only paying the miminum How much longer must I wait for a decent limit rather than the £200 I have.

Monument went offline the back end of last year..... this is headline news. I'm not calling anyone a liar here but how is it possible to apply in February when someone else on here tried every day in february and said the site was down, i.e. applications were not accepted?

I'm confused, even I heard on the news that Dec 31st was their official last day of accepting new applicants.

Please let me elaborate; maybe you applied in December and card came in march or whatever? Just seems weird that you guys are going against what the company themselves are saying.....

Not that i'm bothered, they are junk, just querying the reliability of the source.

    Interesting thread here: http://www.ciao.co.uk/Reviews/Monument_Visa_Credit_Card__5654053

Pretty much states that someone started with £500 limit and went up to £3,000! I mean why would you do that at 45% APR?

    ARE THEY MAD?

    haha
