Accurate usage figures

I'm looking to use a comparison website to switch utility companies. Would prefer to use accurate usage figures for my gas & lecky over the past year - but finding it a tad messy.

My Eon bills can be tricky to add up units used - due to revisions on bills etc.

Any tips out there? Is it cheeky to contact my supplier and ask for the number of units I have used over the last year???

Not at all! AFAIK energy suppliers are legally obliged to tell you if you ask for them. Give them a ring, I'm sure they are very used to people requesting them.

Incidentally, you really do need annual usage figures to make the switching sites of any real use, agreed.

cant you use the meter readings? Find the dates that the meter readings on the bills relate to and then find two readings that are 12 months apart.

Subtract second reading from first reading and there you go!

1carminestocky your absolutely right :T just ask for the usage, you might want to do this by email and ask for an email reply, this way you have the figures written down in front of you.
You can then enter them in to the comparison sites.
