Credit Card Advice Needed

Can anyone offer any help, both myself and boyfriend have several credit cards - can I transfer the balance of one of my cards onto my boyfriends and vica versa to take advantage of 0% rate. Thanks in advance for anyhelp and advice

    You could take out an Egg, MINT or Virgin card, and then use the cheques to pay into his account (or the other way around). Then retransfer from that card after 9 months.
  • NO!!! Credit card cheques are not at 0%, find out what BT offers either of your cards are currently running, then get a mule (i.e. Egg money) do the BT "from" that then pay off the other cards with that now positive balance

    Yes. Most card providers just ask for the card details, although HSBC also asks for the cardholder's name as well.

    If the "Spend and Save" cheques are fee free it is only while the initial 0% offer is on the card.Once this 0% offer has passed then the cheques incurr the normal 2% fee for each cheque written.
    If you have these cheques you should always check before using them,if you are happy to pay the 2% fee then it is a good way of putting cash into your account.
  • Agree with Bokken that this would work, but there are other ways to get money into your account without fees. Look at the stoozing forum for more details.
