Yes, but are you sure it's cheaper? Are you including any discounts with SOL 10? Double-check the unit prices. And check with nPower what discount you are due from SOL 10. The SOL 14 quote will include a £108 annual discount.

SOL 10 certainly sounds as if it should still be cheaper.

How much cheaper did the switching site say it would be?

(It will be dependent on your usage and where you are - the Tier 2 rates are low with SOL10 but the standing charge is low with SOL14. If you are a high user, SOL10 could be cheaper. If you are a medium user, there's not much difference.)

(This depends on the prices in your region - where I am the difference is less than 79 pence per month for a typical consumption.)

If you can't face the 'rithmetic grab the unit prices for SOL10 and SOL14 from uswitch for your region and post them here with your annual usage.
  • I think I'm just going to leave it for now, I've only had 1 bill from npower so only have my usage for 6months last year over the summer, my monthly dd was £84 and i had a massive overpay in 6months so they dropped it to £69. my next bill is due soon so i'll leave it til then.

cheers for the replies, i may need your input in a few months ;)
