I'm not having anybody walking me down the aisle as I've just 'found my real father and dont want to upset anybody, so my bridesmaids are going to walk down the aisle one at a time with me going last. So I've picked the original version of 'Here come the girls'. It's a bit slower so hopefully we wont be tempted to start dancing on the way!!

Just dipping in to clarify....

At a civil ceremony in either a Register Office or licensed premise you most certainly can have 'here comes the bride'. You can have ANY music of your choice providing it does not contains words which are considered to be religious in any way.

For example you could have an instrumental version of Ave Maria but not one with the words.

The reason you are asked to send in copies of any readings or music beforehand is so that anything questionable can be sorted well before your special day. There would be nothing worse than having to substitute on the day and no member of staff would want to be upsetting the bridal party on the day when it can be easily sorted beforehand.

If any of you ever have any queries regarding your ceremony please do just ring the office who are doing it. The Ceremonies Officer is there to answer your queries no matter how trivial they may seem, I can assure you it will be nothing that hasn't been queried before. Most Registration staff are very aware and sympathetic to anxious or worried brides to be.:)

Thats what my sister in law (well, future) is having, I'm super paranoid i'm gonna start singing like a tit though cos i have a habit of doing that without knowing i've opened my gob!
