How did they get your card details and PIN Mr or Mrs Victim?
Yet another means of capturing Card Details & PINs Revealed - Malware.

The above article includes links to other articles on of the vulnerability of Chip & PIN.
One wonders why victims of PIN based fraud in these Forums have been picking up the cost of that fraud (based on probablility that they've been careless with their PIN) when the Industry itself can't guarantee PIN integrity.

If you read the article, it pretty clearly indicates that...
- This hasn't actually been exploited.
- Diebold is aware of the issues and has issued an appropriate software response.
Even then, most major networks (i.e. those of major UK banks) operate in a sandbox (meaning the software can't be accessed) and run regular checksums of the data held, so any difference would be easily identified and shut down. What would William Shatner do?0 -
Quiet BarclaysManager! ATMs are evil heresies which enable banks to steal all your money, and your facts inconveniently contradict that.0

But it does mean the malware can get into the wild, and justs needs someone with the need to get it on to an ATM update.

It's also for Diebold ATMs only. So fix them (which they have) and the problem goes away.

Indeed, but that would be the banks money, not the customers money at risk.0 -
Check the terms and conditions of your bank accounts - all will refund fraudulent transactions - so it is their money which is at risk.0
