Problems with Oil Heating

Options
Hello All,

I am having problems with our oil heating system, we had it serviced recently and the engineer said that we were wasting oil as the boiler was coming on all the time.

We set the timer to come on in the morning and again at night, the heaters dont seem to heat up but when I looked at the boiler and switched the test switch on it seemed to work but should this be on all the time?

Can anyone explain how the oil heating works effectively???

Thank you

Why did you not discuss the problem to the engineer while he was on the premises. He is the one with the test equipment, and presumably the knowledge to sort the problem.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
