is there a market that sels cheap fabric?

my friends on another fabric allways metions that in manchester etc they have weekly markets and there is stalls that sells fabric really cheaply, i was just wondering does anyone know of any markets that has a fabric stall?

there are a few fabric shops in Swansea. But not sure on prices sorry!

i went to this this week, the best one is lee mills down by derek's records... i hadnt been in there before, and i was like a kiddie in a sweetie shop prices were ok, but i think i was spoilt by the prices my friends on the other forum were buying their fabrics for..lol...

sadly there is absolutely nothing round here like the great northern markets!

In fact it is very poor for fabrics in general now, plus the prices are high. In fact I gave up making my own clothes as it really was cheaper to buy!

A few years back there were several places out on the Enterprise zone that sold clothing fabrics esp a branch of Treforest textiles (a great shop for roll-ends etc!) but now there is just City Fabrics which has furnishing fabrics & some sheeting. In central Swansea try Knitters & Sewers World or the haberdashery stall in the market (near the Bible stall) which has a few rolls.

I used to send off to Croft Mill, but they seem to have stopped their mail order now.
